A Leader with a Conscience
Now more than ever, Northwest Georgia needs an experienced leader who will grow our economy and get Georgia moving again. Only one candidate has been an active leader and business partner in all corners of the 52nd Senate District. Chad Whitefield is that leader.
As a small businessman and entrepreneur, Chad Whitefield has helped create hundreds of good paying jobs. As a county commissioner, he has worked to cut government waste and balance the county’s budget. As a family man with two children, he has worked to protect our families and our values.
Chad Whitefield first moved to Northwest Georgia after graduating from college. He worked for Redmond Hospital in the physical therapy department, helping patients regain their independence and mobility.
Two years later, Chad Whitefield co-founded Advance Rehabilitation Physical Therapy to offer rehabilitation services to patients throughout the southeastern portion of the United States. Working through Advance Rehabilitation, he helped get athletic trainers in high schools throughout northwest Georgia, at no cost to the taxpayers. He has also been involved in expanding the Silver Sneakers Program to keep seniors active and healthy.
An involved leader in Bartow, Chattooga, Floyd, and Gordon counties, Chad Whitefield has been proactive in investing time and resources into our communities. With businesses in all four counties, he has been a long-time member of the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce, Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce, Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, and Gordon County Chamber of Commerce.
As the owner of Refuel Christian Apparel and Team 360, Chad Whitefield is a recognized leader in the Christian community. In the fall of 2011, he brought the movie Courageous: Honor Begins at Home to Northwest Georgia theaters before its premier to allow churches and small groups access before it was released to the general public. He also brought the Music With A Mission Concert to Northwest Georgia bringing in many Christian musicians to the area.
Chad Whitefield is a member of the Georgia Historical Society, Georgia Republican Party, Rome TEA Party, Georgia Right to life, and the Georgia Physical Therapy Association. He has been active in Relay for Life, the Business Expo, and supporting conservative Republicans to public office. He is also a little league coach at the Recreation Department.
Since being elected in 2006, Chad Whitefield has served on the Floyd County Board of Commissioners. He is currently Vice Chairman of the commission. In his capacity as a Commissioner, he serves as the Chairman of the Administrative/Finance Committee. He also serves on the Department of Family & Children Services Board, Fire Overview Committee, Floyd County Board of Health, Joint Development Oversight Committee, Joint Services Committee, Rome-Floyd Planning Commission, and the Rome-Floyd Solid Waste Commission. He is a strong proponent of local control and reducing the size of the state and federal bureaucracies.
An active sportsman and member of the National Rifle Association, Chad Whitefield and his family enjoy the outdoors and helping conserve Georgia’s natural resources.
Chad Whitefield is married to the former Lauren Moates. They have two children, Dawson and Amelia. They are active members of West Rome Baptist Church where they serve as Sunday school leaders.
